the introduction 40 hours had me thinking about the various ways that I could represent time and duration. The short tasks had me stuck in terms of ideas. When looking at my self and around me for inspiration I thought about drawing my own perspective since it's something that would constantly change and I could show the time passing through this. During the one hour task, I bought some tracing paper as I wanted to layer the drawings over each other. The end result would be a very visually crowded image, but when you peel back the layers you can see the process of time. For the larger task I decided develop this idea more by maybe focusing on only one part of my body. 

I briefly explored some other options at the progress tutorial. One was documenting my thoughts throughout a day and creating a sort of time lapse showing a growing or increasing effect. I would probably document this through mixed mediums, drawing on paper, photos physical object etc. The end result would be a time lapse of a collage. Another option was recording the amount of things that I use in a typical day and showing this through photography. In the end I concluded that the "positions" idea was the strongest one.

I decided to carry out a simple and active task that I could do for a long time, so I decided that tidying my room was a good start. I had a timer set on my phone for every 20 minutes, and I would take a photo of my hand and whatever position it happened to be in at that point in time. I thought that keeping it fairly candid and not posing would create more interesting results overall, however I realized this would create difficulty as not every position would show up well.
